The latest item fans can bid on is a $15,000 personal check that Jordan made out to Donald Trump's Indiana casino during the 1997-98 NBA season. Jordan wrote out the check on Feb. 16, 1998 to 'Trump Indiana Inc.' The riverboat casino, which was located in Gary, Indiana, has since closed.
The check is being auctioned off by Goldin Auctions. This is the first time that a Jordan check made out to a casino has become available to the highest bidder. Jordan's evening at the casino didn't have an effect on his play the next night against the Indiana Pacers. The Bulls superstar scored 27 points on Feb. 17, 1998.
As has been chronicled during 'The Last Dance,' Jordan was an avid gambler while he was winning NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls. He famously made a quick trip with his father from New York City to Atlantic City during the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals between the Bulls and New York Knicks.
Considering the popularity Jordan has due to the ongoing ESPN documentary series, this check is likely going to command a great deal of money.
